Now in 2017 the journalism industry is completely changed. In Canada, fourteen local newspapers are shutting down in the next few weeks. Here in the United States, midwestern lifestyle publisher Meredith (with some help from the Koch brothers) is buying Time Inc. at fire sale prices.
