There’s a lot going on this week. Remember when Vice Media began preparing to file for bankruptcy and announced that they were shutting down Vice News Tonight? Remember when Buzzfeed News shut down? Remember when word got out that TikTok was keeping detailed track of which users watch LGBT content 1?

Who knows what tomorrow will bring! Martians? Time travelers? Weird janky economy stuff? Meh, probably the third one. There was a ton of job growth in April (yeah!) but a ton of layoffs in tech and media (boo!) and wages are growing while interest rates are drunk again.

Oh, there’s a huge writer’s strike in Hollywood too.
